Between Breaths
When I painted this, I was chasing a sense of stillness, that fleeting moment between one breath and the next, when everything just feels suspended. I remember working slowly, layering soft tones and rough textures, letting the piece unfold without trying to control it too much.
It became almost meditative - the more I built it up, the quieter it felt. Some parts stayed raw and unfinished on purpose, because that's how balance feels to me: imperfect, shifting, alive.
Between Breaths is a reflection of that calm space we all reach for - not silence exactly, but a gentle pause where everything settles for just a moment.
